In production and warehousing, the main focus is on establishing optimal processes or optimizing existing processes. Important factors here are short distances, sufficient space for manoeuvring, and good connections – both to internal operating structures and to the external transport network.

Typical projects in this area include not only completely new buildings but also the expansion of existing production and storage facilities, the construction of multi-story production halls or high-bay warehouses, and their connection to the administration. We have also taken on the complete district planning for logistics centers on plots of up to 130 hectares.

Aspects of economic efficiency have a high priority when building warehouses and production facilities. For this reason, these projects must be particularly thoroughly thought through and designed. Of course, economic aspects are always closely linked to the issues of occupational health and safety. When planning storage or production areas, logistical considerations are therefore paramount.

How can work paths be shortened so that the workforce can work more pleasantly and efficiently? To do this, we take many factors into account – for example, the natural slope of the building site, which may need to be compensated for. In the case of agricultural production sites in particular, aspects of animal welfare must also be considered. In our projects, we always ensure that the animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner with sufficient free range.
